Why we host this

A railway runs on more than track and locomotives — it runs on relationships. Every year, Eswatini Railways brings together the people and organisations we work alongside — freight customers, logistics partners, regional operators, and industry leaders — for a day away from the boardroom.

It’s a chance to network, to share ideas that add real value to how we do business, and to say thank you to the stakeholders who make ESR’s work possible. In 2024, as ESR marked 60 years of operation, Golf Day was part of how we celebrated that milestone with the people who’ve been part of the journey.

On the day

What to expect

Golf Day runs as a full day on the course, followed by an evening of networking and recognition.

1 Morning — Tee off. Teams take to Royal Swazi's par-72 course in fourballs, kitted out in branded ESR golf wear.
2 Afternoon — On the fairways. A full round of golf, with plenty of time for the real business of the day: conversation.
3 Evening — Prize-giving. A formal wrap-up indoors, with remarks from ESR's CEO, sponsor presentations, and prizes across multiple categories — plus a branded gift for every participant.
