Eswatini Railways took a decision to be a world class organization during the formulation of her strategy in 2009 by including as a strategic objective “the implementation of Quality Management Systems in accordance to ISO 9001 by all functional areas by the end of 2013”.
The journey to certification began immediately culminating to the achievement of the objective in March 2012 when the organization got certified to ISO 9001: 2008 by TUV Rheinland.
As an organization, we are committed to offer high quality service to our customers and to maintaining our internationally recognized ISO 9001 certification.
In support of this, we have an Integrated Management Systems Policy (IMS) and a quality manual which explains in detail our commitment and plan to ensure we are a quality conscious organization.
As an organization, we will take reasonable steps to meet and exceed our customers’ requirements and expectations, protect our employees, the local communities and the environment and to comply with applicable statutory and legal requirements as well as minimize the risks arising from all our service realization activities.
On an ongoing basis, the quality assurance unit conducts internal audits to determine the level of conformity to internal policies and procedures as well as to the international standard.
Emphasis is placed on continuous improvement of all processes within the organization so as to retain existing customers while attracting new ones.
