Requirements for moving bulk

  • There is a minimum weight per wagon required in order to load onto a wagon
  • A train requires a minimum of 20 wagons to be considered and to avoid delays it is advisable to move a full train which comprises of 30 to 40 wagons so that it doesn’t get detached along the way
  • Rail is always cheaper to use when moving bulk commodities over a long distances and also environmentally friendly too.
  • To enquire about the rate and logistics of moving cargo an email or fax with all the details (tonnages, commodity, destination and source) has to be forwarded to sizwe.dlamini@esr.co.sz or alternatively info@esr.co.sz
