ESR Hosts Free Educational Visits from Various Schools
Eswatini Railways has reached a significant operational milestone in its Corporate Social Responsibility programme — free educational visits that continue to inspire the next generation of transport, engineering and logistics professionals.
“Teach Them Young”
As part of its commitment to giving back to the community, Eswatini Railways (ESR) continues to inspire and educate the next generation through free educational visits for schools across the country.
The initiative forms part of the organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and provides learners with a unique opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of Eswatini’s rail transport system, logistics operations, and the significant role that railways play in the country’s national and regional economic development.
During these educational visits, learners are introduced to the day-to-day operations of ESR, railway safety, the history of railway transportation in Eswatini, as well as the various career opportunities available within the railway and logistics industry.
The educational tours are designed to complement classroom learning by exposing pupils to practical aspects of science, engineering, transportation, and logistics.
School Tours
The programme reflects ESR’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and community development by creating meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom. Through initiatives such as these, the organisation continues to strengthen its relationship with local communities while investing in the education and development of young people who may one day become the country’s future professionals in transportation, engineering, and logistics.
The initiative has been in existence for many years. In the past, schools submitted request letters through physical mail — a process that has since evolved and become far more convenient through electronic communication.
